I am not in the UK at the moment (i'm in Portugal), but I am aware that there is a big holiday over there this weekend with people celebrating the queen.
Its certainly an opportunity to reflect and reassess the values of this absurd monarchy.
Its hard to grasp the insanity of this - people celebrating their status as 'subjects' to a family who have a relentless history of killing, slavery and stealing (which they continue to do).
Its a staggering example of a sort of collective blindness.
Yesterday I watched this: "Royal Babylon" which is a very long and comprehensive account of the extreme unpleasantness of this family and their history of atrocities and exploitation.
It does go on a bit, as its written sort of like a poem.
For example:
The queen still signs death warrants for hangings in countries such as Trinidad, where she is head of the court appeal system.
The history of the royal family's connection with Hitler and Nazi Germany.
Their direct involvement and profiteering from wars and stealing the resources of other countries. (Particularly with huge uranium holdings for 6 billion dollars)
The list of warmongering US generals and politicians such as Reagan, Bush, Kissinger, etc, who have received knighthoods from the queen.
The fact that the queen 'legally' owns about one sixth of the land mass of the planet, including Australia and Canada (estimated value 33 trillion dollars) making her the wealthiest person on the planet.

(Warning: the beginning has loud punk-rock music from the Sex Pistols, maybe keep the volume down for that bit!)
Or you can read most of the text here http://internationaltimes.it/royal-babylon/
For me, it is a good example for seeing if I have any againstness towards these people, as I watch this, and to see if I can find any aspects of the 'uncaring and arrogant queen' in myself, to acknowledge and include.
Lots of love,
Clare

or more simply: to acknowledge that they, like you/us, have had their life experiences and that everything is evolving and if they need to be imprisoned from their injustices it will evolve and if it doesnt happen in this life perhaps in another. To me the whole point is to stop judging since the judging often times is killing us more often than it does anything to the "other." So do we love ourselves enough to stop judging so we are free? Fundamentally the world is perfect with millions of things that are wrong. We can still fight the good fight but the qwuestion for me is where is our hearts in all the correcting of all the wrong things... and are we on the evolutionary road or are we simply repeating history as in the "eternal recurrence" of Gurdjieff?

I agree Bob. I am glad you read the article.
One thing I am always watching out for is - certainty. I am never certain about that.
I didn’t read these particular articles. Read lots of theories on world leaders and such.
I don’t know what is true or untrue, about anything, I just take it all in as a possibility.
What I do see is how people around me behave,
and always watching for any asleep symptoms in my own behaviour.
One thing I do not seem to have much doubt about,
is that most people seem to be asleep
to the fact that they are asleep to what I seem to be seeing.
So I am always watching out for any symptoms for how much I am asleep as well.
