People's actions/behaviour can appear to be mundane, but people are not
mundane. Ever. People are people - like you are I - even if their behaviour
is more primitive. If you have any judgement at all it means you have not
yet awoken and accepted that very same level in yourself.
To more evolved beings I am sure our behaviour may appear to be primitive as
well - but that does not make us unworthy for love and caring. In fact,
people who are less awake need more care and attention.
About Judgement:
It is not 'wrong' to judge, it is just unconscious. If you are judging
another it is because you are embarrassed for not yet accepting that similar
place within yourself.
You cannot stop judging - you cannot stop anything. You can suppress it,
ignore it, act over it, but if it has happened, it has happened already -
too late to do anything - accept, accept. Just be with the moment, not
supporting, not suppressing, and the very awareness will bring about
healing.
Someone writes:
>...here in Australia I feel I am suffocating by people all around me who seem
>to live in a world of mindless sporting events, beer drinking blokes, and
>bullshitting politicians.
Same everywhere - just a matter of percentages.
Some places have more of such people, and some places slightly less.
At least in Australia there is a refreshing straight forwardness that is
rare in most 'civilized' countries.
Competitive sport is childish and for the undeveloped; beer drinking is
following the pack and an attempt to escape the reality of just how boring
and unhappy are their lives. And politicians? - just watch on TV 'A Day in
Parliament' for any country. Or some of the clips that Jon Stewart shows on
The Daily Show. It is very hard to get that such undeveloped/silly/stupid
people have been voted in, by us - to run a country.
> I feel myself cut off from all this mindless nonsense, which is now creating
> confusion in my life.
If you were"'cut off from all this mindless nonsense" then you would not be
disturbed by it would you. These events are not creating confusion in your
life - you are - by focussing on it, and resisting.
And there is no escaping yourself - this
side or the other side. Wherever you go, there you are.
> but I must stress, that living a life surrounded by so many unconscious people
> is sickening me.
Please consider: You are sickening yourself. And them I expect - by your
self-centred arrogance. You yourself are unconscious - just a different
degree.
> Sometimes, I wish I had remained asleep as then none of these things would
> have bothered me.
There is no going back. But if you continue to complain you will find that
your life will become even more uncomfortable than it was when you were more
asleep. And if you really do want to go back - join the beer drinkers, and
watch footy!
To all of you reading this - haven't you always complained, whatever the
circumstance? Check it out. New model Mobile phone/computer/car/girl friend
came out just after you got yours? Be grateful for what you do have - for in
order to stay occupied/feeling needed the mind will always find something
about which to complain. Always.
So take it easy. Take stock, and take responsibility.
We really are creating our own reality - on more levels than the mind can
comprehend.
Take it easy with yourself, and others...

A New Level of Sensitivity
Until we start to wake up there is a tendency to think all humans are in the
same 'category.' In fact, there is a vast variation in levels of awakened
consciousness.
(It could be said that we go through the 'levels' - in order to 'understand'
others who have not yet realised these other levels - so we can share more
effectively - through our own actual experience. Empathy. There is no such
thing as an accident.)
At sometime, more mature people let go of the toys that were so precious to
them when they were younger. And some people do not mature, and still hold
on to those toys and other shallow and unessential subjects. No worries.
Most people are so conditioned, and insulated, they do not even realise that
there is anything more than what they have been told, so are not open to
hear, let alone experience anything outside of the 'normal' experience.
It is my experience that we are all born with 'curiosity.' It is stronger in
some than others. In some it is heavily trampled in childhood and never
awakens strong enough for the person to look at themselves, others, and life
in a curios way.
In others the curiosity is strong, but is resisted - in order to stay
'normal.'
And just a few have the realisation that - that is what life is about.
Life is not just about surviving and staying safe, it is about living this
curiosity - and living. LIVING.
There is change happening - on may levels.
Sensitivity is part of that change.
To many it seems that music is getting louder and more aggressive, and the
movies, TV shows and games more violent. They are. And, as you are reading
this it means you are getting more sensitive as well.
People who are still holding the old, in any form, will feel more and more disturbed by the information being
shared. We all 'gravitate' to what we need for 'our next step.' Then our
limited free will has the choice to say yes or no. The same opportunity will
keep repeating itself until stop holding and allow the change. Trouble is,
the longer we leave it the more unpleasant the situation becomes.
Change is happening. The less we hold the more smooth is the transition.
Nothing more exciting than the unexpected.
Have fun with the changes...
