Kundalini Ascension
Kundalini is an evolutionary energy that is designed for humanity’s next step
toward a luminous physical and spiritual expression.  The Kundalini is in everyone.
It is an untapped resource of divinity within us all that is waiting to be awakened
and experienced.  Never has the time been so right and crucial for a change of
this magnitude to be explored and initiated.  And so, let me introduce you to the
power within you, right now at this very moment. Your Kundalini.

Kundalini is a very powerful and transformative energy located at the base of the
spine within the last three vertebrae of the tailbone or coccyx, extending to the perineum.
Kundalini is a natural birthright to all people but must be sought and nurtured with a
physical and spiritual practice.

Ascension is what the Kundalini process brings.

It is one of the gifts. It is also the gift that one "is".

Yes one still has free will and choices are made to stay and help. These
choices are made outside of an ascension platform though. The ascension
choices are made from a vastly expanded knowledge base about the workings
of the soul journey and the expression of spirit in a body. Karma and the plan of
learning of the soul are also understood far better than is currently available in a
non Kundalini awakened body and consciousness.

One knows ascension is available. One knows that the many options that are
open to choose to express from are there and within reach. One can see them
and feel them and they are a fact of opportunity and existence for the person
reaching into these areas. One can see far beyond these mere opportunities
as well. Ascension is almost like a conscious death to continued expression in
the physical.

The gift of ascension is like being consumed by intelligent loving radiance.
The radiance is the divine quality of the person overcoming the physical constraints
of the material physical body and moving into the expression of pure energy.

Pure intelligent energy. The body atomic structure is increased in its spin and
expression. These also become saturated with the divine expression and they
are consumed by the radiance. Everything of a physical body nature goes with you
if you choose it to be so. Most do not choose this but some do.

The heavenly fields do not experience life and consciousness as we here in the
body experience these qualities. There are very few limits to what can be known
and understood in these areas of expression. Divinity is huge and miniature at the
same time and dualities do not exist as we in the limited flesh awareness know
duality to be and yet they do. Compression of knowledge and its comprehension
is extremely different in these areas.

The spiritual planes of expression are not like the physical dimensions and any
comparison is merely a small gift of reference given by divinity that a person
can even begin to understand. All wants and desires have been smoothed.
All concerns and even love of the physical existence is not even considered.
The larger picture of ascension is as an ocean to the single drop of water of
the consciousness we express from.

With ascension we are that drop and we are that ocean at the same time,
outside of duality and within it. Non dual systems are not easily comprehended
by those in a dualistic existence. So the picture I am giving here is very poor
compared to the experience of what is given.

In another example one becomes the individual cell of a body and yet retains
the full knowledge and activity of the complete body and all of the cells that
comprise it. Separate and yet combined.

So it isn't really appropriate to make plans about ascension. You do not as
yet have enough information about your reason for even being here.
Ascension isn't an escape from pain or a place to ride out the storm.

It is the next expression of beingness outside of the human condition.
This includes the reincarnation of lives into the flesh. Ascension is beyond
even that. We are not sum and total biological beings that end in death.
We are far more than that. And in that potential is an unlimited factor of
grace that is available to us to reach for and to be reached from. Grace
is the next stop. What is done with the human expression inside of the
grace that comes from the Kundalini is what will determine your choices
and options regarding ascension.

Nobody is an island. We are all connected. So think about that and then
consider what occurs as you stand next to someone with your Kundalini
flowing. As they stand inside of your radiance what do you think is happening
to them and their potential for reaching into the grace of the Kundalini and
then further into the choices of ascension. What Karma if any do you add to
your responsibilities? You are as your fellow human is and they are as you are.
The difference is in the ability to hold specific frequency of divine expression.
Ascension is beyond that connection and yet part of it. We give of grace that
which we do not know, as ego expressions, what is given. Not everyone is
ready for it and yet the potential is there.

The first threshold is the Kundalini.

So I hope this is at least a little bit more of an explanation that can clear up
some of the misconceptions about ascension that stem largely from the
avoidance of pain and disaster and calamity. No one wants to experience
this and so the idea of being swept away by divinity in a great ascension
wave is given to those who will wish for divine intervention rather than
make the needed changes to help themselves and others survive what
the future brings.

Kundalini is the divine intervention. Kundalini is that connecting force of
the divine into the physical mundane. As we practice and strive and surrender
to the Kundalini within, so do we build the platform of the ascension within us.
And when that occurs the knowledge will flow and the understandings will be
given and you will know why you are here. You will have an understanding of
the Karmic process that has brought you into this expression.

When that occurs your choices regarding ascension will be far clearer to you
than my meager words can give answer to. However at this time let the
Kundalini continue its agenda with you. Let it make the changes and surrender
completely to the Kundalini. Change your life and the way you live your life by
following those divine intuitions that the awakened Kundalini will bring. Let it
flow through you and allow for the evolution of every cell in your body and
match these changes by evolving the way you think and feel about others
and yourself.

Reflect those changes by making the behavioral modifications that
are needed; the dietary modifications that are needed; and the activity
based modifications that are directed upon you from the Kundalini. Let it
change every aspect of who you are. Trust in the divine expression of the
Kundalini upon you and as you do so your knowledge base will expand far
beyond its current parameters. Your intuitive base will build and your
understanding and your love and your astonishment of the depth and
vastness of the grace that drives you will open up the ascension channels
within. From these channels will come to you the information that you will need
to even understand what it means to enter into the ascension process -

From: http://www.gmwatch.org/10-reasons-why-we-dont-need-gm-foods

With the cost of food recently skyrocketing – hitting not just shoppers but the poor and hungry in the developing world – genetically modified (GM) foods are once again being promoted as the way to feed the world. But this is little short of a confidence trick. Far from needing more GM foods, there are urgent reasons why we need to ban them altogether.

1. GM foods won’t solve the food crisis

A 2008 World Bank report concluded that increased biofuel production is the major cause of the increase in food prices.[1] GM giant Monsanto has been at the heart of the lobbying for biofuels (crops grown for fuel rather than food) — while profiting enormously from the resulting food crisis and using it as a PR opportunity to promote GM foods!

“The climate crisis was used to boost biofuels, helping to create the food crisis; and now the food crisis is being used to revive the fortunes of the GM industry.” — Daniel Howden, Africa correspondent of The Independent[2]

“The cynic in me thinks that they’re just using the current food crisis and the fuel crisis as a springboard to push GM crops back on to the public agenda. I understand why they’re doing it, but the danger is that if they’re making these claims about GM crops solving the problem of drought or feeding the world, that’s bullshit.” – Prof Denis Murphy, head of biotechnology at the University of Glamorgan in Wales[3]

2. GM crops do not increase yield potential

Despite the promises, GM has not increased the yield potential of any commercialised crops.[4] In fact, studies show that the most widely grown GM crop, GM soya, has suffered reduced yields.[5]

A report that analyzed nearly two decades worth of peer reviewed research on the yield of the primary GM food/feed crops, soybeans and corn (maize), reveals that despite 20 years of research and 13 years of commercialization, genetic engineering has failed to significantly increase US crop yields. The author, former US EPA and US FDA biotech specialist Dr Gurian-Sherman, concludes that when it comes to yield, “Traditional breeding outperforms genetic engineering hands down.”[6]

“Let’s be clear. As of this year [2008], there are no commercialized GM crops that inherently increase yield. Similarly, there are no GM crops on the market that were engineered to resist drought, reduce fertilizer pollution or save soil. Not one.” – Dr Doug Gurian-Sherman[7]

3. GM crops increase pesticide use

US government data shows that in the US, GM crops have produced an overall increase, not decrease, in pesticide use compared to conventional crops.[8]

“The promise was that you could use less chemicals and produce a greater yield. But let me tell you none of this is true.” – Bill Christison, President of the US National Family Farm Coalition[9]

4. There are better ways to feed the world

A major UN/World Bank-sponsored report compiled by 400 scientists and endorsed by 58 countries concluded that GM crops have little to offer global agriculture and the challenges of poverty, hunger, and climate change, because better alternatives are available. In particular, the report championed “agroecological” farming as the sustainable way forward for developing countries.[10]

5. Other farm technologies are more successful

Integrated Pest Management and other innovative low-input or organic methods of controlling pests and boosting yields have proven highly effective, particularly in the developing world.[11] Other plant breeding technologies, such as Marker Assisted Selection (non-GM genetic mapping), are widely expected to boost global agricultural productivity more effectively and safely than GM.[12] [13]

“The quiet revolution is happening in gene mapping, helping us understand crops better. That is up and running and could have a far greater impact on agriculture [than GM].” – Prof John Snape, head of the department of crop genetics, John Innes Centre[14]

6. GM foods have not been shown to be safe to eat

Genetic modification is a crude and imprecise way of incorporating foreign genetic material (e.g. from viruses, bacteria) into crops, with unpredictable consequences. The resulting GM foods have undergone little rigorous and no long-term safety testing, but animal feeding tests have shown worrying health effects.[15] Only one study has been published on the direct effects on humans of eating a GM food.[16] It found unexpected effects on gut bacteria, but was never followed up.

It is claimed that Americans have eaten GM foods for years with no ill effects. But these foods are unlabeled in the US and no one has monitored the consequences. With other novel foods like trans fats, it has taken decades to realize that they have caused millions of premature deaths.[17]

“We are confronted with the most powerful technology the world has ever known, and it is being rapidly deployed with almost no thought whatsoever to its consequences.” — Dr Suzanne Wuerthele, US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) toxicologist

7. Stealth GMOs in animal feed — without consumers’ consent

Meat, eggs and dairy products from animals raised on the millions of tons of GM feed imported into Europe do not have to be labelled. Some studies show that contrary to GM and food industry claims, animals raised on GM feed ARE different from those raised on non-GM feed.[18]  Other studies show that if GM crops are fed to animals, GM material can appear in the resulting products[19] and that the animals’ health can be affected.[20] So eating “stealth GMOs” may affect the health of consumers.

8. GM crops are a long-term economic disaster for farmers

A 2009 report showed that GM seed prices in America have increased dramatically, compared to non-GM and organic seeds, cutting average farm incomes for US farmers growing GM crops. The report concluded, “At the present time there is a massive disconnect between the sometimes lofty rhetoric from those championing biotechnology as the proven path toward global food security and what is actually happening on farms in the US that have grown dependent on GM seeds and are now dealing with the consequences.”[21]

9. GM and non-GM cannot co-exist

GM contamination of conventional and organic food is increasing. An unapproved GM rice that was grown for only one year in field trials was found to have extensively contaminated the US rice supply and seed stocks.[22] In Canada, the organic oilseed rape industry has been destroyed by contamination from GM rape.[23] In Spain, a study found that GM maize “has caused a drastic reduction in organic cultivations of this grain and is making their coexistence practically impossible”.[24]

The time has come to choose between a GM-based, or a non-GM-based, world food supply.

“If some people are allowed to choose to grow, sell and consume GM foods, soon nobody will be able to choose food, or a biosphere, free of GM. It’s a one way choice, like the introduction of rabbits or cane toads to Australia; once it’s made, it can’t be reversed.” – Roger Levett, specialist in sustainable development[25]

10. We can’t trust GM companies

The big biotech firms pushing their GM foods have a terrible history of toxic contamination and public deception.[26] GM is attractive to them because it gives them patents that allow monopoly control over the world’s food supply. They have taken to harassing and intimidating farmers for the “crime” of saving patented seed or “stealing” patented genes — even if those genes got into the farmer’s fields through accidental contamination by wind or insects.[27]

“Farmers are being sued for having GMOs on their property that they did not buy, do not want, will not use and cannot sell.” – Tom Wiley, North Dakota farmer[28]

Grain    From:   http://well.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/06/30/the-11-best-foods-you-arent-eating/?emc=eta1

Maybe you should be eating more beets,
left, or chopped cabbage.

Nutritionist and author Jonny Bowden has created
several lists of healthful foods people should be eating
but aren’t. But some of his favorites, like purslane, guava
and goji berries, aren’t always available at regular grocery
stores. I asked Dr. Bowden, author of “The 150 Healthiest
Foods on Earth,” to update his list with some favorite
foods that are easy to find but don’t always find their
way into our shopping carts. Here’s his advice.
  1. Beets: Think of beets as red spinach, Dr. Bowden said,
because they are a rich source of folate as well as natural red pigments that may be cancer fighters.

  2. How to eat: Fresh, raw and grated to make a salad.
    Heating decreases the antioxidant power.

  3. Cabbage: Loaded with nutrients like sulforaphane,
a chemical said to boost cancer-fighting enzymes.

  4. How to eat: Asian-style slaw or as a crunchy topping
    on burgers and sandwiches.

  5. Swiss chard: A leafy green vegetable packed
with carotenoids that protect aging eyes.
    How to eat it:
Chop and saute in olive oil.

  6. Cinnamon: May help control blood sugar and cholesterol.
    How to eat it:
    Sprinkle on coffee or oatmeal.

  7. Pomegranate juice: Appears to lower blood
    pressure and loaded with antioxidants
    How to eat:
    Just drink it.

  8. Dried plums: Okay, so they are really prunes,
but they are packed with antioxidants.   How to eat: Wrapped in prosciutto and baked.

  9. Pumpkin seeds: The most nutritious part of the
pumpkin and packed with magnesium; high levels
of the mineral are associated with lower risk for
early death.  How to eat: Roasted as a snack,
    or sprinkled on salad.

  10. Sardines: Dr. Bowden calls them “health food
in a can.” They are high in omega-3’s, contain
virtually no mercury and are loaded with calcium.
They also contain iron, magnesium, phosphorus,
potassium, zinc, copper and manganese as well
as a full complement of B vitamins.
    How to eat:
Choose sardines packed in olive or
sardine oil. Eat plain, mixed with salad, on toast,
or mashed with dijon mustard and onions as a spread.

  11. Turmeric: The “superstar of spices,” it may have
    anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer properties.
    How to eat:
Mix with scrambled eggs or in any vegetable dish.

  12. Frozen blueberries: Even though freezing can
degrade some of the nutrients in fruits and vegetables,
frozen blueberries are available year-round and
don’t spoil; associated with better memory in animal
    studies.
    How to eat:
Blended with yogurt or chocolate soy milk
    and sprinkled with crushed almonds.

  13. Canned pumpkin: A low-calorie vegetable that is
    high in fiber and immune-stimulating vitamin A;
fills you up on very few calories.
    How to eat:
Mix with a little butter, cinnamon and nutmeg.
You can find more details and recipes on the Men’s
Health Web site, which published the original version
of the list last year.
In my own house, I only have two of these items
— pumpkin seeds, which I often roast and put
on salads, and frozen blueberries, which I mix
with milk, yogurt and other fruits for morning
smoothies. How about you? Have any of these
foods found their way into your shopping cart?

Question from audience:  I wanted to ask if you could comment
on the relationship between sex and the human soul.
Umm… more of an open question, in a sense…

Bashar:  Yes.

Q:  I want to understand what belief system you would
advise for channeling this very powerful, amazing energy.

B:  Sex is an alignment of all the different levels; thus,
then grounding the higher energy to physical energy,
in an aligned way. It’s an opening up of channels
within the body that allows for communication back to the higher level.

Q:  Beautiful.

B:  It is the grounding of a circuit, the completion of a
circuit, and thus, then once the path has been defined,
it is thus, then, the LIGHTNING STIKE to align all the centers, and allow for clear communication back to the higher level. That’s its fundamental function.

Now, how it can be addressed, how it can be
experienced, of course.

Q:  But, without all the judgmental burdensome…

B:  Yes.

Q:  …value that we impose on it.

B:  The idea sociologically is simply this: what individuals
prefer, what they choose to believe, is preferable for
themselves and simply needs to be communicated to
others clearly and precisely, so that all individuals involved,
in whatever the relationship form is, all know what the belief
systems of the other individuals are, and are given the
opportunity to decide whether or not, for them personally,
if what is being offered is true or preferable for them.

Other than that, no judgment need apply as long as there
is a consensus and consent among those that are capable
of giving consent; then, in that sense, it is all for a positive reason.

Q:  Completely agree.

B:  Thank you.

Q:  Which framework should we address in situations where there is a lot of collateral damage? In terms of, let’s say, people abusing, let’s say, children, to raise their own vibration -- to try a false or wrong way, or without judgment.

B:  The idea is, again, to recognize that each and every individual must be allowed to be in-touch with their true self, not to devalue any part of themselves, and to empower themselves with respect to all aspects of their being, in a positive and loving way. And to know there is always a way to express any aspect of the self in that positive way without the idea of being responsible FOR anyone else’s reaction, but always being responsible TO everyone else, to be your true self, in the best way you possibly can.

Teaching that self-empowerment lesson to your children will allow them to grow up in a balanced and centered way, and express all aspects of their being in the same and similar way of balance. Make sense?

Q:  Yes, um, that leads up to the follow up question: do we then form, as some people suggest, soul ties that last for a lifetime?

B:  You can.

Q:  Or is it all based on belief systems that say “do you believe?”

B:  That takes place on many different levels beyond belief. Belief system is only a function of the physical reality -- beyond that it is simply “knowing.”

Q:  Is there a law of knowing that there will be that, regardless of what we believe?

B: There are only four laws in creation that we have ever found:

Number One: You exist.  You can’t change that. Period.

Number Two: The one are all, the all are one.

Number Three: What you put out is what you get back.

Number Four: Everything changes except the first three laws.

Everything is based on that, so when you talk about the idea of a ‘law of knowing’ -- not really, except as it keys into the idea as an expression of the combination of the four laws. The idea of making soul connections happens on a level above the idea of belief systems; it happens on a KNOWING LEVEL and that can carry down into physical reality in many different ways. But there are such things as soul groups, soul connections, soul family -- just as you have families, just as you have friends, just as you have connections. It can happen on higher levels and does happen on higher levels, and can express itself in many different levels.

All right?

Q:  Umm…

B:  Does that answer the question? Or were you intending another idea?

Q:  Yes, it does answer it on a very stat level. What do you think of, you know, without any, you know, position of judgment or anything…

B:  Yes.

Q:  … what people term, let’s say, casual sex? Do you believe that’s fine? Is it fine? Do we carry the other person’s…

B:  Again, I will repeat: when you explain yourself and your beliefs clearly to the other people in the relationships, so that they know who you are, and they clearly and consciously consent to interact on the same level -- NO harm has been done. Make sense?

Q:  Okay. That makes full sense.

B:  Thank you.

Q:  I get it. I guess another quick one -- well, a lot more important… How would we alleviate the collateral damage that happened through people channeling, let’s say, child prostitution?

B:  Again, the idea of any so-called damage that has been done would require a deep understanding of the conditions and belief systems that created the experience to begin with and a sharing and a helping and an assistance to allow those individuals to LEARN from those choices, and to choose other things that result in more positive experiences from that point forward.

Anything that has ever been experienced negatively can always be turned around, and can always be used to create positive experiences, and sometimes, many individual souls my choose to have a negative experience in order to really learn how to transform it into positive light.

As we have often said, very often on earth we have experienced what we term the “Rubber Band Analogy.” On earth you have rubber bands, you pull them back very far and when you snap them they go and they fly very far in the other direction

Well, many souls choose lives that do this; they will experience the idea of going and stretching and pulling themselves deep into darkness, because they know the farther into darkness they go, when they FINALLY use it in a positive way and let go, it will snap that much farther, that much faster, into the light.

So, all negative experiences, if you choose to, can be turned into positive ones, and, the degree of energy to create the negative ones, can be representative of the degree of energy that can result on the positive side as well.

Remember: many of you, we know, think of yourselves as a primitive culture.  And we understand that, in certain ways, technologically and so on, and so forth, yes, alright, you may not always have the understanding of advancement that other civilizations might have. But, you must understand something very important: energetically, when it comes to negative and positive energy -- there is a reason that we call you the “Masters of Limitation.” Earth is an advanced school where you know you came because you were strong enough to explore the limitation to the depth that you have. Because, by doing that, it shows you how strong you are and how much more you can then transform the darkness into the light when you FINALLY choose to balance it.

All right?

Q:  All right.

B:  So you are all earning your Master’s degrees on earth.

Q:  All right. Thank you very much; I don’t want to keep you any longer.

B:  Thank you.

What is SEX?

Think you know all there is to know about sex?  Think again.  Most people have a very limited definition of sex.  The dictionary defines sex as follows:

sex (sks)

n.

1.

         a. The property or quality by which organisms are classified as female or male on the          basis of their reproductive organs and functions.

         b. Either of the two divisions, designated female and male, of this classification.

2. Females or males considered as a group.

3. The condition or character of being female or male; the physiological, functional, and            psychological differences that distinguish the female and the male.

4. The sexual urge or instinct as it manifests itself in behavior.

5. Sexual intercourse.

6. The genitals.

Once you get past the first three definitions of the word which refer to gender, you are left with the four basic concepts of “urge,” “instinct,” “intercourse” and “genitals.”  It’s no wonder we have such a narrow definition of sex.  Our culture and our language not only reflect perceptions – they shape them.

But is sex just an urge or instinct?  And is sex limited to intercourse or our genitals?

First, let’s address the idea that sex always involves our genitals.  It doesn’t.  BDSM (Bondage, Discipline, Sadism and Masochism) are forms of sexual behavior.  Although some forms of BDSM do in fact involve the genitals of one or more participants, many forms of BDSM do not involve the genitals at all.  Tantra can also utilize genital contact of one form or another, but often does not.  Many forms of tantric sex take place fully clothed without any physical contact at all.

And it follows that if some forms of sex such as BDSM and Tantra do not involve our genitals, they certainly do not involve sexual intercourse either.  So defining sex as sexual intercourse is completely outdated and inaccurate.  Most of us know this although there seemed to be some confusion about it during Bill Clinton’s presidency.  In fact, since the President swore under oath that he “did not have sex with that woman,” and it was later revealed that he had oral sex with Monica Lewinsky, an entire generation of USA children entered puberty convinced that oral sex was not sex.  And since oral sex was not sex, these pre-teens and teenagers decided they didn’t need to practice safer sex during oral sex.  As a result, grade schools and junior high schools experienced a marked increase in the incidence of gonorrhea of the throat.

This highlights just how powerful an effect our definitions of a given word can have on human behavior.  It also affects our legal system. For instance, rape is usually defined as penile penetration of a vagina.  If a foreign object is used to penetrate a vagina it is labeled sodomy as are all forms of anal penetration and oral sex.  With these types of distinctions, our words shape our prejudices so that rape becomes a particular physical act rather than a category of abuse.  And although a rape survivor may be convinced of her or his violation regardless of the “sex” act involved, in many instances the law will not attach the same penalties for perpetrations which involve acts labeled as sodomy or “molestation” as those imposed for penile penetration of a vagina.  Also by labeling perpetrations against children “sexual molestations” instead of rape, we spare ourselves the full impact suffered by the victim.

In my own family I have encountered great resistance to calling what my father did to my sister rape.  Yes, the family concedes, what Dad did was wrong, but calling it rape just seems too extreme.  Sexual molestation sounds better to my family.  In this particular instance, penile penetration of a vagina is suspected but not confirmed and consequently, the crime seems less severe to everyone but my sister and me.

Such is the extent to which we shape perceptions, control feelings and modify behavior with words.  So what happens if we expand our definition of the word sex?

As a first step, we need to distinguish acts of violence which employ what appear to be sexual acts from sex.  For at least two decades now, women’s rights organizations have defined rape as violence.  Research has established that the rapist does not rape for sexual gratification but rather for emotional gratification in the form of a sense of power over another person.  Many rapists do not even achieve a sexual climax while perpetrating their crimes.  The needs which rape satisfies for the rapist are not primarily sexual.

So, what appears to be sexual can in fact be non-sexual.  Likewise, some activities which appear non-sexual are in fact forms of sex.  Tantra is a wonderful example of the latter.  Two people seated across from each other fully clothed and breathing while gazing into each other’s eyes may not seem sexual to the casual observer.  But having engaged in this form of sex I can attest to the fact that this seemingly non-sexual behavior can achieve a very sexual outcome including the sensation of being penetrated and mind-blowing fire breath orgasms.

As I have delved deeper into Tantric Sex, my definition of sex has expanded in one direction while narrowing in another.  Much of what passes for sex in our current culture is in fact forms of violence parading as sex.  You might ask yourself if the “sexual” images popular media assaults you with on a daily basis actually cause you to become sexually aroused.  If you stop to notice your physical and emotional response, you might be surprised to find that you are in fact feeling more competitive and insecure than turned on.

Of course the two can and often do become conflated.  I use to feel sexually aroused by rape fantasies.  Just for the record, as a sex educator and sexologist, I believe all sexual fantasies can be a healthy expression as long as the person having the fantasy is comfortable with it.  In my case, I was not comfortable with my rape fantasies as they became increasingly violent and I found this emotionally disturbing.  It still led to great orgasms.  But afterward, I felt unhappy and sad.

In time, I came to understand my own need to control the fantasized violence and thereby achieve a sense of power over my fear of being hurt and humiliated.  Eventually, I moved away from rape fantasies which left me feeling empty inside and toward life affirming and empowering fantasies which infused me with joy and a sense of freedom.

And what of the dictionaries’ assertion that sex is an “urge” or “instinct?”  There is some truth to this.  After all, if we didn’t have the urge or instinct to have sex we might fail to procreate.  Scientists have established procreation as the most primal of all our drives.  But if we reduce sex to “just” an urge or instinct, we miss the complexity and beauty which is sex.  So sex is an urge and instinct AND it is a doorway to connection, intimacy and spirituality.  Sex can even lead to spiritual transcendence.

This is not new knowledge.  Ancient civilizations knew this to be true.  Sacred sex and sacred prostitution predate the Bible.  Unfortunately, we have looked at sex as nothing more than a physical act for so long; it feels unfamiliar and strange to think of sex as spiritual.

Our narrow definition of sex doesn’t help matters.  If however, we think of sex as energy rather than a specific menu of physical activities, then sex takes on an entirely different dimension.  We already know sex is a powerful energy which can create life and bond people.  Now imagine sex as the amazing energy behind every creative and inspired activity in the universe.  In fact, imagine sex is why there is a universe.  After all, don’t you think the “big bang theory” sounds a bit sexual?  Certainly the idea of certain elements and energies coming together in a big explosion which spawns entire galaxies and life itself sounds sexual to me.

But lest you find this too ethereal, let’s come back to earth.  Tantra teaches us about Kundalini energy.  This is sexual energy which resides at the base of our spine.  It can be awakened with some very interesting outcomes.  For instance there is a phenomenon called kriyas, which is a spontaneous involuntary muscle contraction or spasm (not be confused with the practice of cleansing kriyas).

In his book, Words From the Soul: Time, East/West Spirituality and Psychotherapeutic Narrative (New York: SUNY Press, 1998), Stuart Sovatsky makes a connection between Kundalini or pranic awakening and what he calls its cross-tradition similars: spontaneous spinal rockings known in Judaism as davening and in Sufisim as zikr; the "taken-over" gyrations of gospel "holy ghost" shaking and dancing and charismatic/Pentecostal "manifestations"; the Dionysian "revel"; Quakerism’s and Shakerism's autonomic quaking and shaking; Tai Chi guided by chi itself; the shamanic trance-dance; Buddhism’s and Raja Yoga’s effortless "straight back" (uju-kaya) meditation; the yogically derived ecstatic belly-dance and Flamenco; and the full-bodied, spontaneous Reichian "reflex.”

This perspective affords a more inclusive approach to spiritual enlightenment as we realize what these disparate traditions have in common.  Given the often negative and shaming approach to sex of several of these religious traditions, I find it humorous that they all share the awakening of the sexual Kundalini energy as a benchmark for spiritual attainment.

We have been misled to believe that certain forms of violence are sex.  The fact is that violence is violence – not sex.  No matter how you perpetrate violence, it is violence.  This applies to sexual harassment, date rape and stranger rape.  But it also applies to sexual imagery which is designed to make you feel insecure and less than.

I am not indicting graphic sexual images with that statement.  I happen to produce and sell DVD’s which are considered pornographic.  But if you view my porn, you won’t feel assaulted.  It isn’t easy to feel assaulted when you are viewing people who love each other expressing that love in whatever way they choose.  I am not speaking of specific sexual acts.  Some of my porn contains BDSM.  I am referring to the energy behind our actions.

A lot of the sexually graphic images available to the public are laden with anger and violence.  Again, images of BDSM are not inherently violent.  Some BDSM is more loving than a typical beer commercial.  But in order to make that distinction, we need to be more educated to issues of consent and more aware of the energy involved.

We have also been told that sex is something which binds us to the body and separates us from spirit.  Not surprisingly, this is diametrically opposed to the truth.  As long as you maintain a separation of sex and spirit, you will find spirituality an elusive goal.  Sex is the doorway to spirit.  Not mindless friction of genitals – but sex which is fully conscious and connected to self and creation. Spiritual awakening requires that we comprehend the unity of all.  Sexual energy is what unites all that is.

Bruce Lipton: Seeing is Believing
We all want to fix the world, whether we realize it or not.

On a conscious level, many of us feel inspired to save the planet for altruistic or ethical reasons. On an unconscious level, our efforts to serve as Earth stewards are driven by a deeper, more fundamental behavioral programming known as the biological imperative — the drive to survive. We inherently sense that if the planet goes down, so do we.

Combine the enormity of the mission with how small and helpless we imagine we are, and our good intentions soon fly out the window. Consciously or unconsciously, most of us accept our own powerlessness and frailty in a seemingly out-of-control world.

Advances in biology and physics offer an amazing alternative — one that suggests our sense of disempowerment is the result of learned limitations. Therefore, when we inquire, “What do we truly know about ourselves?” we are really asking, “What have we learned about ourselves?”

Are we as frail as we have learned? In terms of our human evolution, civilization’s current “official” truth provider is materialistic science. And according to the popular medical model, the human body is a biochemical machine controlled by genes, whereas the human mind is an elusive epiphenomenon, that is, a secondary, incidental condition derived from the mechanical functioning of the brain. That’s a fancy way of saying that the physical body is real and the mind is a figment of the brain’s imagination.

Until recently, conventional medicine dismissed the role of the mind in the functioning of the body, except for one pesky exception — the placebo effect, which demonstrates that the mind has the power to heal the body when people hold a belief that a particular drug or procedure will effect a cure, even if the remedy is actually a sugar pill with no known pharmaceutical value. Medical students learn that one third of all illnesses heal via the magic of the placebo effect.

We are further disempowered by our tacit acceptance of a major premise of Darwinian theory: the notion that evolution is driven by an eternal struggle for survival. Programmed with this perception, humanity finds itself locked in an ongoing battle to stay alive in a dog-eat-dog world. Tennyson poetically described the reality of this bloody Darwinian nightmare as being a world “red in tooth and claw.”

Awash in a sea of stress hormones derived from our fear-activated adrenal glands, our internal cellular community is unconsciously driven to continuously employ fight-or-flight behavior in order to survive in a hostile environment. By day, we fight to make a living, and by night, we take flight from our struggles via television, alcohol, drugs or other forms of mass distraction.

But all the while, nagging questions lurk in the back of our minds: “Is there hope or relief? Will our plight be better next week, next year or ever?”

Not likely. According to Darwinists, life and evolution are an eternal “struggle for survival.”

Do we need a “faith-lift?”

All who participate in walking across coals or expressing spontaneous remissions share one trait — an unshakable belief they will succeed in their mission.

We do not use the word belief lightly. Belief resembles pregnancy — you’re either pregnant or you’re not. The hardest part about the belief game is that you either believe something or you don’t — there is no middle ground.

One compelling example of the mind’s power over biology can be gleaned from the mysterious dysfunction commonly referred to as multiple personality disorder, more officiously known as dissociative identity disorder (DID). A person with DID actually loses his or her own ego identity and takes on the unique personality and behavioral traits of a completely different person.

How could this be? Well, it’s like listening to a radio station in your car and, as you travel, the station becomes staticky and fades out as a different station on the same frequency grows stronger. This can be jarring if, for example, you are cruising with The Beach Boys and, a couple of choppy moments later, you find yourself in the midst of a fire-and-brimstone, Bible-thumping revival.

Neurologically, multiple personalities resemble radio-controlled biological robots whose “station identification” uncontrollably fades from one ego identity to another. The unique behavior and personality expressed by each ego can be as vastly different as folk music is from acid rock.

While almost all attention has been placed on the psychiatric characteristics of persons affected with DID, there are also some surprising physiological consequences that accompany ego change. Each of the alternate personalities has a unique electroencephalogram (EEG) profile, which is a biomarker equivalent to a neurological fingerprint. Simply put, each individual persona comes with its own unique brain programming.

Incredible as that may seem, many persons with multiple personalities change eye color in the short interval it takes to transition from one ego to the next. Some have scars in one personality that inexplicably disappear as another personality emerges. Many exhibit allergies and sensitivities in one personality but not in another. How is this possible?

DID individuals might help us answer that question because they are the poster children for a burgeoning new field of science called psychoneuroimmunology, which, in people-speak, means the science (—ology) of how the mind (psycho—) controls the brain (—neuro—), which in turn controls the immune system (—immun—).

The paradigm-shattering implications of this new science are simply this: while the immune system is the guardian of our internal environment, the mind controls the immune system, which means the mind shapes the character of our health. While DID represents a dysfunction, it undeniably reveals the fact that programs in our mind control our health and well-being as well as our diseases and our ability to overcome those diseases.

Now you might be saying, “What? Beliefs control our biology? Mind over matter? Think positive thoughts?”

What does science say about this mind over matter stuff? The answer depends upon which science you ask.

The science of conventional medicine tries to reassure us that none of the phenomena we just described actually exists. That’s because today’s biology textbooks and mass media describe the body and its component cells as machines made of biochemical building blocks.

This perception has programmed the general public to accept the belief in genetic determinism, which is the notion that genes control physical and behavioral traits. This sad interpretation is that our fate is inextricably linked to ancestral characteristics determined by genetic blueprints derived from our parents and their parents and their parent’s parents, ad infinitum. This causes people to believe that they are victims of heredity.

Fortunately, the Human Genome Project (HGP) has pulled the rug out from under conventional science’s beliefs concerning genetic control. This is ironic because it set out to prove the opposite. According to conventional belief, the complexity of a human should require vastly more genes than are found in a simple organism.

Surprisingly, the HGP discovered that humans have nearly the same number of genes as lowly animals, a finding that inadvertently reveals a fundamental myth-perception underlying genetic determinism. Science’s pet dogma has long outlived its usefulness and needs to be mercifully put to sleep.

So, if genes do not control life , what does?

The answer is: we do.

Evolving new-edge science reveals that our power to control our lives originates from our minds and is not preprogrammed in our genes.

This is great news. The power for change is within us. However, to activate the amazing power of mind over genes we must reconsider our fundamental beliefs—our perceptions and misperceptions—of life.

Folk remedies have been around a long time for a very good reason-- they work!

Here is another for the folks: CINNAMON & HONEY

Honey is the only food on the planet that will not spoil or rot. It will do what some call turning to sugar.  Never boil honey or put it in a microwave. To do so will kill the enzymes in the honey. Make sure your honey is untreated and unporcess and not heated. This will have the greatest benefit. Caution honey is a form of sugar so too much honey of any kind is not good for the body. But a little bit will help some of the following conditions.

And the Cinamon should be organic. Chinese medicine says it is warming and nourishing for the Kidneys.

Weekly World News, a magazine in  Canada has given the following list of diseases that can be cured by honey and cinnamon as researched by western scientists:

ARTHRITIS: Arthritis patients may take daily, morning and night, one cup of hot water with two spoons of honey and one small teaspoon of cinnamon powder. If taken regularly even chronic arthritis can be cured. In a recent research conducted at the  Copenhagen  University , it was found that when the doctors treated their patients with a mixture of one tablespoon Honey and half teaspoon Cinnamon powder before breakfast, they found that within a week, out of the 200 people so treated, practically 73 patients were totally relieved of pain, and within a month, mostly all the patients who could not walk or move around because of arthritis started walking without pain.

BLADDER INFECTIONS: Take two tablespoons of cinnamon powder and one teaspoon of honey in a glass of lukewarm water and drink it.  It destroys the germs in the bladder.

CHOLESTEROL: Two tablespoons of honey and three teaspoons of Cinnamon Powder mixed in 16 ounces of tea water, given to a cholesterol patient, was found to reduce the level of cholesterol in the blood by 10 percent within two hours.  As mentioned for arthritic patients, if taken three times a day, any chronic cholesterol is cured.  According to information received in the said Journal, pure honey taken with food daily relieves complaints of cholesterol.

COLDS: Those suffering from common or severe colds should take one tablespoon lukewarm honey with 1/4 spoon cinnamon powder daily for three days. This process will cure most chronic cough, cold, and clear the sinuses.  To make it lukewarm,  place it in a small jar and let it set in warm water for awhile.

HEART DISEASES: Make a paste of honey and cinnamon powder, apply on bread, instead of jelly and jam, and eat it regularly for breakfast. It reduces the cholesterol in the arteries and saves the patient from heart attack.

Regular use of the above process relieves loss of breath and strengthens the heart beat.   In  America and  Canada,  various nursing homes have  treated patients successfully and have found that as you age, the arteries and veins lose their flexibility and get clogged; honey and cinnamon revitalize the arteries and veins.

UPSET STOMACH: Honey taken with cinnamon powder cures stomach ache and also clears stomach ulcers from the root.

GAS: According to the studies done in  India and  Japan , it is revealed that if Honey is taken with cinnamon powder the stomach is relieved of gas.

IMMUNE SYSTEM: Daily use of honey and cinnamon powder strengthens the immune system and protects the body from bacteria and viral attacks. Scientists have found that honey has various vitamins and iron in large amounts. Constant use of Honey strengthens the white blood corpuscles to fight bacterial and viral diseases.

INDIGESTION: Cinnamon powder sprinkled on two tablespoons of honey taken before food relieves acidity and digests the heaviest of meals.

INFLUENZA – FLU: A scientist in  Spain has proved that honey contains a natural ' Ingredient' which kills the influenza germs and saves the patient from flu.

LONGEVITY:
Tea made with honey and cinnamon powder, when taken regularly, arrests the ravages of old age. Take four spoons of honey, one spoon of cinnamon powder, and three cups of water and boil to make like tea. Drink 1/4 cup, three to four times a day. It keeps the skin fresh and soft and arrests old age. Life spans also increase and even a 100 year old might start performing the chores of a 20-year-old.

PIMPLES: Three tablespoons of honey and one teaspoon of cinnamon powder paste. Apply this paste on the pimples before sleeping and wash it next morning with warm water.  If done daily for two weeks, it removes pimples from the root.

WEIGHT LOSS: Daily in the morning one half hour before breakfast on an empty stomach, and at night before sleeping, drink honey and cinnamon powder boiled in one cup of water. If taken regularly, it reduces the weight of even the most obese person. Also, drinking this mixture regularly does not allow the fat to accumulate in the body even though the person may eat a high calorie diet.

SKIN INFECTIONS:
Applying honey and cinnamon powder in equal parts on the affected parts cures eczema, ringworm and all types of skin infections.

FATIGUE: Recent studies have shown that the sugar content of honey is more helpful rather than being detrimental to the strength of the body. Senior citizens, who take honey and cinnamon powder in equal parts, are more alert and flexible. Dr. Milton, who has done research, says that a half tablespoon of honey taken in a glass of water and sprinkled with cinnamon powder, taken daily after brushing and in the afternoon at about 3:00 P.M. when the vitality of the body starts to decrease, increases the vitality of the body within a week.

CANCER: Research in  Japan and  Australia has revealed that advanced cancer of the stomach and bones have been cured successfully. Patients suffering from these kinds of cancer should daily take one tablespoon of honey with one teaspoon of cinnamon powder for one month three times a day.

BAD BREATH: People in  South America first thing in the morning, gargle with one teaspoon of honey and cinnamon powder mixed in hot water, so their breath stays fresh throughout the day.

HEARING LOSS: Daily morning and night honey and cinnamon powder, taken in equal parts helps restore hearing.

CONCLUSION:
It is good to take some sort of mixture of cinnamon and honey daily!
