Paul Lowe has spent his life investigating the maximum potential for human beings and has found it to be vast, limitless and available to everybody. For forty years he travelled around the world, encouraging people to move beyond what is normally thought of as possible or impossible. He has a remarkable facilty to show people what they are not seeing about themselves, and shares his insights with caring, and perhaps most importantly, humour.
Since retiring from public life in 2007, Paul has continued to send regular emails to a group of of people that were involved in his work and a few others, responding to our state of consciousness, situations in the world and the evolution of our human destiny.
This blog is NewRealities attempt to bring Paul's observations to a greater audience. Feel free to post any comments about what you read here. While Paul may not respond directly, we want to make this an open dialogue among our readers. In many parts of the world there are two main forbidden subjects - Sex and Death.
In some parts it is one or the other, and in most parts - both.
(I cannot really understand the taboo about not wearing clothes.
In some American TV programmes nipples are blurred out -
even when under clothing! Sexual temptation I suppose.)
Some of the ways I see the subject of Death:
Some Atheists, and many conventional scientists see us as just physical.
We are just a physical/emotional/mental body, and when it dies
we die and are gone. Finished. Forever.
Most religions have a different take on it.
Many Western religions tell us that if we are good, and follow the rules
laid down by God, then we will go to Heaven and live close to God.
If we do not believe in God, and/or do not follow the rules then we go
to eternal damnation in an everlasting fire. Hell. Forever.
(Strange don't you think - from a God that says to love your neighbour
and forgive your enemies?)
There used to be a third alternative - Purgatory - an in-between stage
where you were held until you had repented enough to go to heaven -
but that was abolished by a recent Pope. Now it is one or the other.
One religion says that everyone has to follow their particular religion -
convert or die.
Those of the religion who die in the cause go to heaven and are rewarded
with seventy-two virgins. (I wonder why seventy-two, and what happens
for the women when they die in the cause.)
Then we have the principle of many lives - we have to keep coming back
into a body until we have learnt what we are to learn.
One religion says that the average person is reborn eighty thousand times -
approximately - before they can stay in - wherever they go.
Then there are the other *other siders*
This now has a strong following - especially with the television series
such as John Edward - who talks to entities who are no longer in their bodies.
And the amazing experiences of people who have clinically died
and come back.
Most of the near death experiences have similar experiences -
float out of the body; greeted by friends and family who have died;
bright light; tunnel; compassionate being; life passes before them;
told to return.
Just very few have a different experience - melting into the Source.
(One Eastern religion says that while still in the body, at the Fifth Level
there is the realisation that all is One; at the Sixth they enter into the
One and still retain their unique individuality; at the Seventh
they become one with The One.)
Change of tempo. Let's disconnect from all of that - and not know.
To most, death is a wall - and we are this side of it.
What if that is not so - there is no barrier, and we float in and out.
What if some of our dreams - are not dreams.
What it what we call *the other side* is not on another side,
but just in a different form.
What if The Other Side is our permanent address and we are just on
(Here you can insert your own unique interpretation of what is reality.)
How about we extend the idea that we all connect when sitting
at the same time - and be so present, in and to each moment,
that we feel connected - all the time - to everybody, and everything.
Ameya sent this today:
>Seems like the 'meditation' suggestion is taking off.
>There does seem like there is a major change
>about to evolve. Still no idea what.
Hi Dear Paul, Dear Everyone,
I have been trying to form the words to describe something unfolding for me
in the last little while. What, I cannot really say. On one level, a
like stepping through a portal, on another, very subtle, as things look
the same. But when I tune in, it feels like a new chapter or level.
It is like another piece of a larger puzzle now clicking into place
that feels 'right' and something I've been waiting for.
Very fuzzy for the mind and at the same time clear
on a level I am not 'seeing' in the usual way.
The main aspect seems inside, Here,
and there is another to do with connecting,
meeting others in a different way: deeper, simpler.
It happens when we are together, it happens when we meet,
it certainly happens in the Gatherings... and I had a thought:
As a number of other friends have been also experiencing
this 'Something in the air' lately, something imminent,
let's try an experiment with all of us connected here
to invite this thing, or more likely - open ourselves to it.
The idea is to simply sit silently together
not 'meditating' or doing anything in particular,
tuning in to ourselves and each other with no purpose
other than staying open, available, inviting,
as if listening as if to some sweet sounds...
The idea is to meet this way every day at the same time.
Seeing as how we're scattered all over the time zones
this is not easy to organise in 'real time' so I propose
to do it some time between 22:00 and 23:00 where you are,
be it for that entire hour, or for five minutes in that hour.
Don't let the mind interfere with practical limitations.
If the time doesn't fit for you, do it when it does fit.
The relevant part is the intention, the tuning in,
and that is not limited by time, it is always...
Lots of Love, Devesh
Paul writes: We have been getting delightful messages from some of you
who are following Devesh's suggestion that we sit together
at 22/23 Central Euro Time. That is 6am here.
I sit for a little while, and for the rest of the time am extra aware
that we are connecting.
We now have a strong number of scientists who are questioning the
whole old idea that we are just the physical, and realising that as we
are radiating our vibrations, we are all connected - all and everything.
Again, I have this message that wants to come through - about how
nothing is the way we think it is, based on how we think about Death.
It is the first time that something that wants to come through
is not doing so when I sit down to record it. Later.
Sending you all lots of love
Happy to hear most things are going well for you.
Many people are reporting difficult times.
Some psychics are telling us that it is part of the transition
of consciousness that is happening on/with us all this planet.
You mention using the Will to overcome the difficulties.
I have never found using the Will to be a permanent solution -
just delays the inevitable.
The only place from which we can attempt to use the Will
must come from the old - which is - old.
I think we need to allow the old to clear itself.
It is the new for which we need to be open,
and that, at least for the new, is unknown.
The old wants to be safe, secure and predictable.
The new could be seen as a gamble, but in my experience
allowing the new has always brought a new level of de-light.
Fear of the new is the fear of dying, and for the new to evolve
we need to die to the old. *Unless you die and be reborn.*
It is the job of the old to take care of you.
So difficulty for the old is - no guarantees.
Amazing how much energy we put into being safe, secure,
and predictable - and then complain about getting bored!
World-wide things do seem to be hotting up don't they.
Just what we need. The more things come into the open
the quicker will be the transition - one was or the other.
Sending lots of supporting love - for you,
and what you are attempting to do for us all.
Let's take another look at something I keep attempting to share -
about how we see and experience what we are calling reality.
If you are asked a question about the past you will find that the
possible answer is stored in the memory compartment of your mind.
Now we could ask ourselves - how did that information get in there.
We have been told it, we believed it, so it became a fact for us. Right?
Now we could also ask ourselves - who told us - and were they a reliable
source for that information.
For instance, if they are talking about how to be happy, are they happy.
For me, the person needs to be a living example of what they are sharing -
otherwise it is just information to be considered.
Another for instance - if someone is giving financial advice about how
to become rich - are they rich? Very, very rich. If not, then either they
are not following their own advice, or their advice is not valid.
Same with what scientists are telling us about reality.
In my brief lifetime almost everything I was told at school as a
scientific fact, is now not a fact. In fact, some of the things we took as
absolute are now a laughing point - that we should have believed it so.
This what I am attempting to share:
Maybe, just maybe, everything we have told about - everything, is not true.
Suggestion. To counteract the possibility that all that we have been told
may not be the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, we should expose
our minds to alternatives. Lots of alternatives.
Like as many Near Death Experiences as possible. Like:
And John Edward: Dim lights
And what Rupert Sheldrake says:
"The idea that a memory has to be somewhere when it’s not being remembered
is a theoretical inference, not an observation of reality.
When I met you this morning, I recognized you from yesterday. There’s no
photographic representation of you in my brain. I just recognize you. What
I suggest is that memory depends on a direct relationship across time
between past experiences and present ones. The brain is more like a
television receiver. The television doesn’t store all the images and
programs you watch on it; it tunes in to them invisibly."
