Don't Ask Me...Written by Alan Steinfeld
As an experiment, take it that behind every question there is a statement.
We all know what we need, how and when we need it -
and would like a more comfortable alternative.
When giving advice, the first thing is to check whether the advice you are
presenting is actually your working experience, or just something you have heard.
Even if it is not working for you, it may still be appropriate to share it
with them, but make it clear that it is an idea, and not your actual experience.
We can usually see others more clearly than ourselves.
In fact, we can usual see ourselves more clearly in others as well!
Next, you need to check into the there person - they are not you - they
Then, they need to make some sort of connection - so they are at least
taking what is shared as a hypothesis, with which to experiment.
If they are just doing it because you said so it will not work for them.
In actual fact, there really is only one answer - to any question:
Just Be Here Now. Unconditionally.
More on that in the later present...
