Someone was telling me that they are a being employed as a consultant tothe Olympics.
To me the Olympics are a good example of how asleep and programmed we are.
As the Olympics are toted as 'A Good Thing' - that is what we are expected
to believe.
I consider the Olympics to be one of humanities sick events.
A slightly more ‘civilised' version of the Roman Gladiators.
Violence. Aggression. Against-ness. And a farce.
(And a huge amount of money that could be going to people in need.)
Until we drop this stupid national competition (or any competition) and
come together as one species, we shall go on destroying ourselves.
We need to come together, not compete against each other - in all ways.
And to me, sport is so infantile, and stupid. The ‘winner’ is just the one
who was born with more suitable athletic genes, devoted to some
appropriate training, and can take as many performance enhancing drugs as
possible without being detected.
(I think it would solve a lot if athletes were ‘allowed’ to take any drug
they want. In theory there then could be totally drug-free events.
Wouldn’t work though - we are not an honest species.)
Watch the faces of some of the ‘winners’ in tennis. Pretty? Caring?
And I do realise that it is a good thing for humans to discharge their
natural aggression. Look at the faces of the spectators at a bull fight.
I have shared this before. I used to like watching soccer matches in Bali.
Whenever one side scored a goal - both sides celebrated.
Same when a goalie missed a goal - both side comiserated.
Something else not to be taken seriously?
