Several of you have asked how is Elise, my mother.Elise, my lovely and loving mother, 101 years old this coming July, seems to be on her way to… wherever is next.
She has just given away her engagement and wedding rings.
(Incidentally, she was christened Elsie, but not liking the name very much, when after taking sannyas her three sons changed their names, she decided to change her’s to a name she always wanted to be called – Elise)
She is not now able to get out of bed, so she is being very lovingly and well looked after in a nursing home - in Torquay, South West England.
She is getting lots of visitors, including my two brothers every day.
She spends most the time with her eyes closed, and ‘comes back’ just sometimes. She still jokes.
Recently my brother Clive joked with her saying he was going to bring in some potatoes for her to peel. She replied: “That does not ap-peel to me.”
She is a very exceptional being. Negative judgements and complaints gone, just unconditional love and caring – for everyone. Only things left seems to be some worry – for other people, and still uncomfortable about ‘being a trouble.’
(Maybe this time of being totally dependant will assist her to go beyond that.)
People who have met her consider her an inspiration. Absolutely.
If you feel to, you could tune in to Elise.
Not only may she benefit, so may you!
Sending love…
Sent about Elise:
Delightful and touching letter from Lucie.
Extracts:
“All pride disolved - just allowing herself to be taken care of.
"She is tying everything up - ready to leave. Present and at peace.
“She is so very beautiful. Seems there is nothing course left anymore.
"She is all transparent now - just love lying there, dancing between us as
if there were no bodies.
"Such a gift to us all.
“Looks like she may make it to be 101 years of age!
