Please note - how often he says ‘maybe.’
Nice to have someone not being certain.

And, one thing I see differently is, that I would not dare/presume
to project who I would like to be - as that would also be based on the
past, or at best, the potential of someone who we respect and admire -
and that may not be appropriate for us, or our maximum potential.

What I would do, is connect with the old; see if I could define its source
- thus its restrictions; open up to what maybe my appropriate maximum
potential  of that very moment. As is appropriate.

Perfectly understandable -
not wanting the pain and inconvenience of having cancer -
and who knows what we need.

As with Anita Moorjani - described in her book “Dying to Be Me” (Neat
title.) (Thank you Mira)

Anita had severe cancer, died, had a near death experience,
and came back transformed. (Incidentally, totally clear of the cancer.)
So who knows what we do and do not need?
