Being Someone...
In a recent chat, and some emails, questions about teachers and gurus came up. (I can feel it right now - I am not going to get into this. So very briefly…)
Calling oneself, Guru, Master, Teacher, indicates a comparative level of insecurity.
Allowing others to call you any of these titles is also showing a certain level of… ignorance. And conscious or unconscious dishonesty.
Having to be someone is an indication that you do not feel yourself to be anyone.
No one is an anything (yet everything). Even your name is just a label.
One thing that is delightful with the state that Dianne is in, is that - there isn’t anyone there. Yet there absolutely is! Not being restricted by having to be someone is very powerful. Just is-ing.
A delightful symptom of this is, when something is said to someone in this state there is no feeling of… not only no resistance, but no fixed position to which anything is compared. Everything is fresh and new, and seen (and experienced) as such. As a little child.
Check it out - ambitions? Goals? Do they/are they working - for anyone? Look into the private lives of ‘successful’ people. And the people who run motivation (and other) courses. And don’t just listen to what they say - almost all of them are con artists. Look at the body postures, facial expressions, tone of voice. What do you feel. Are they talking from their in-that-very-moment experience?
If you are seeking, what you re seeking is there, right now. It is just that you are looking with an instrument that is mis-programmed and not designed to recognise such states.
Dianne asked me today about my ‘awakening.’
Just the question, although understandable, is… strange.
No awakening, just realising. No fireworks, just an ordinary gentle realisation of a new level of… realisation that, I have always known what I am realising right now.
And not seeing anything about what is any more clearly, just seeing, very clearly, what is no longer relevant. So not knowing what is, just realising what isn’t.
And for me, so far anyway, the process continues to unfold.
More and more subtle, and keeps unfolding.
This writing thing really is fading.
Again, hope you glimpsed something relevant for yourself...
